Have you experienced using your computer or laptop then suddenly, while you are in the middle of doing “something” in your computer, it crashed?

Ok, not all computer users experienced this kind of scenario but most have experienced it. If you are lucky enough, you can still use your computer after sudden crash without any data loss. But most of the time, your valuable data might be lost.

If you are a non-experienced desktop or laptop user, the next thing you will do is to grab your phone and call for “Emergency Hotline” for computer repair; which will cost you hundred of dollars if you want to do file recovery alone. Tax included :D.

Before you press the hotline number, please read on as this will help your a** off paying hundred of dollars.

Avanquest created the software Recovery Commander that will help you to restore your computer system back to normal. That’s right, you can restore back your system if you experienced sudden crashed of computer; which results to headache.

Some features includes; you can recover back your system even you are unable to boot your PC, recovery of registry (another troublesome work), preserves user data and application, and too much features and benefits to list down here.

If you tried to re-read the features, “Preserves user data and application” alone is a very invaluable benefit that you can discover from its features.

To protect your precious data, get this Recovery Commander by Avanquest now!

By the way, I was amazed by this great software review by PC Magazine:

“Recovery Commander is the only viable solution for recovering data on a system that crashed even before you purchased the software.“

Last few days, my desktop suddenly crashed for now reason, I think. After I boot up my pc, everything seems fine but before the “Windows Loading” screen displays, the monitor shows nothing. Blank… As usual, I tried to troubleshoot the desktop from software to hardware.

Firstly, I tried to boot using my “Boot CD for Windows” but still, nothing happened. Then I tried to boot up using Windows Installation CD but when the “Windows is inspecting your hardware configuration” appears, it will reboot. So I tried to check using almost every Rescue CD I have. But nothing worked.

I tried to boot using the Ubuntu Linux CD and to my surprise, it boot up. So basically, I am using the Live CD version of the Ubuntu Linux. I can’t just install it because I’m not the only person who uses the desktop.

Some of my data were inside the OS hard disk so I can’t just reformat the hard disk. I did a backup to my data to other PC using IDE to USB converter and then reformat everything.

I reformatted the hard disk because I thought that it is the one which cause the error.

I can install the Ubuntu Linux but not Windows into the PC. I have no option but to install the Ubuntu Linux to my desktop, thinking how will others will use it.

After installation, I can say that Ubuntu Linux is more user friendly compared to other *nix flavor. My latest version of Linux except from Ubuntu is Red Hat 8.X. So I can’t say that Ubuntu is the best. But since they sent me the CD, I can say that they are better.:D

I didn’t do much setup to let others use the desktop with the new operating system, Ubuntu Linux. Almost everything is the same with Windows functionality except of course with games. But since nobody is using my desktop for games, I will stick with Linux OS desktop for the mean time.

Almost everything is plug and play with Ubuntu Linux OS, if you are worrying if your kids won’t understand this OS, Ubuntu Linux and other *nix are now being developed with user friendly GUI.

By the way, if you want to try or learn Ubuntu Linux, you can request for your CD or download the ISO (Image file) from their official website at http://www.ubuntu.com/ .

When your laptop computer or PC suddenly crashed and you are unable to turn it ON what would you do? Most non technically inclined people will feel that it is the end and I was surprised that even some PC enthusiast doesn’t have an idea on how to rescue their data.

Do not panic yet if your laptop or computer crashed. Unless your hard disk was physically destroyed, but its another story. If you tried to turn it ON and OFF, it might cause more damage to your data inside, so resist kicking and hitting your computer.

Basically, before you can rescue your data inside, you should have your RESCUE CD with you. So what are these so called rescue CDs? These CDs are compilation of PC Techician tools that will help them when there’s a trouble. It’s one of their bestfriendS.

You need to have any reliable live rescue CD such as “Ultimate Boot CD“. But you must learn first the basic function of some diagnostic tools inside the package. Without knowing what’s inside the CD, it is useless since you don’t know how to use them. Remember that there are so many Rescue CD available for you to download, but this CD is one of the well-known compilation of diagnostic tools.

Now, go to the official website of Ultimate Boot CD and download the image file and burn it to your CD, so even your computer crashed, you can have your diagnostic and data recovery tools to rescue.
